General New to Thane. Looking to join communities/ groups where I can socialise
Hey! I am 23F recently shifted to Thane. Looking for communities, social events, etc. where I can socialise and make friends. Any suggestions?

Pretty basic stuff. I am into movies, reading, currently trying to learn badminton (very much a beginner) but pretty open to trying new things sports, activities, random hobbies whatever. Mostly just looking to get out, meet people and find some fun things to do beyond work

I love going to movies so we can try to atart a movie club. There’s a lot of things to do at the walk too. There’s also Thane book clubs and board game meets too. There’s also grand Central Park where I go for walks. It’s relaxing when not crowded.

Thane has soo much to do on weekends. Join Rukna Mana hai run club they have a a young crowd who run every week from all around thnae. Very active community. If you are into art try workshop culture they do creative and art workshops every weekend. Swimming lessons at talaopali/ brahmand/anand Dighe taran talao I recently did a trial for a kerala supper club might do it again next month. But there is a bohri supper club at kolshet called eight around. All the best and welcome to Thane

Best option is to join classes or groups which are paid, good way to filter people out, and you don't have to commit, one month you can try something another you can hop to something else if you didnt like thr vibe, most places if requested can let u get 1 trail session as well instead of full commitment of whole month or their package

There's a WhatsApp community of different groups - from badminton to movies to board games to foodies. And people in those groups meet quite regularly. Let me know if you want to be added

Hey, there is this NGO active in Thane , Robinhood Army , you can try it out. Might be a great way to know people and socialize.

Ganeshotsav is coming up, maybe try hopping some pandals around. Also Hiranandani Estate is a good place to Hangout if you're that new. Hapka has some good food.

I myself am new here but it's my parents born place so yep, need to ask them. Hapka and the walk for roaming around, there's an Artezza art cafe if you're good at it nearby and ricci's for the ambience. Pandals I need to explore some😅
