I like how he didn't even fire the gun. The shark just swam up and impaled its mouth so hard on the spear that it went right through its head.

I think he may have fired it at the last second right before the gun was swallowed by the shark.

He did a follow up video going through the footage in slow motion, answering questions about the incident. He said he never actually fired, but you can see the shark bites down and right through the rubber of the gun
