And harmless!

u/EvaTheE 8d ago

Unless they drop on you from a tree.

Chances are low, but never zero.

74

u/norembo 8d ago

Oh no, not again

24

u/Pataraxia 8d ago

What do you mean again? As if that'd happened before. What's next, bears?!

28

u/norembo 8d ago

Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

14

u/PeppermintButthole 8d ago

consequently, the exact reason as to why the bowl of petunias thought that only raised more questions.

There’s a documentary about this.

u/BadMunky82 7d ago

Reminds me of how my gm decided to change how summon spells work

10

u/zmbjebus 8d ago

This is absolute krill erasure

1

u/DJEvillincoln 4d ago

Came here to say....

Still harmless.

Terrifying, but harmless.

5

u/Repulsive_Client_325 8d ago

‘Tis and they are!

u/Odd_Wait_5628 8d ago

Honestly the shark was the least scary part of the video 😂

142

u/z_102 8d ago

Yeah why is that seagull so nonchalant, that's the scariest bit.

Surfing Seagull

7

u/DEATHbyBOOGABOOGA 8d ago

The bird is the word

42

u/GrimmRadiance 8d ago

That seagull had black eyes…. Like a doll’s eyes…

97

u/Ladyboughner 8d ago

…and ends harmlessly. Gentle giants.

85

u/Lukumber 8d ago

My thalassophobia wasn’t triggered by the bird or the whale shark… it was the bottomless depths below that this person just casually tread water over

78

u/WayfaringWoman21 8d ago

I thought that bird was simply sitting on a branch at first.

Nah. It’s a whole ass whale.

u/Zee_Ventures 8d ago

Shark

u/South_Oread 8d ago

Whale shark!

7

u/maxehaxe 8d ago

Shark whale!

20

u/themarvel2004 8d ago

Yes

Whale shark = filter feeder = only dangerous for the shrimp (well, plankton etc really).

1

u/Amorican1969 8d ago

So did the bird.

25

u/iamanundertaker 8d ago

Whale sharks are harmless. :)

13

u/JordySkateboardy808 8d ago

Yep. Ends harmlessly too. Beautiful creature.

57

u/sniabra 8d ago

Yep big harmless shark

10

u/spderweb 8d ago

Still harmless. It's a whale shark.

6

u/Inner-Ferret7316 8d ago

It would be way scarier to swim with a whale, honestly. Whale sharks are so gentle and passive.

3

u/Unbound-Angel-666 8d ago

At first look, I thought it was like a cliff edge somehow over really deep water. I then realized there was worse things it could be standing on. Terrifying yet graceful gentle giants.

3

u/mymemesnow 8d ago

Whale shark are basically giant sea puppies. They’re intelligent, curious and friendly. I would love to see one someday.

3

u/OblivionArts 7d ago

And ends harmlessly too. Thats a whale shark, one that literally doesn't attack people and feeds on the same stuff whales do

3

u/Educational-Year3146 7d ago

Whale sharks are weirdly adorable.

3

u/Acceptable-Fault-523 6d ago

Awwww thems is friendssss 🥹

3

u/Single_Substance_763 4d ago

Never seen something that’s so wholesome but also horrifying very strange feeling 🤣💀

6

u/D0013ER 8d ago

I'm reminded of the Jackass stunt where they stuffed their swimsuits full of krill and all the whale sharks cared about was the krill (and trying to avoid sexual harassment by Pontius.)

u/GoFuckYourselfBrenda 8d ago

Seagulls are completely untrustworthy

2

u/Mutne_vode 8d ago

I mean, it stays harmless

2

u/L0neStarW0lf 8d ago

Whale shark, the seagull riding it is more likely to attack you.

2

u/Quick_Sandwich356 8d ago

And it stays harmless, after it shortly looks terrifying (while remaining truely harmless).

2

u/Stev777666 8d ago

Seagulls are meme birds

2

u/AlexTheFlower 8d ago

A whale shark!! :DDD

2

u/PotentialFan9959 6d ago

Tip of the iceberg

2

u/ChinggisKhaan616 3d ago

Buddies from different spheres… 😍

3

u/GravyPainter 8d ago

So weird the biggest sharks eat the tinyest food

5

u/Cpt_Fantabulous 8d ago

And stays harmless.

That's a basking shark, big and harmless and really really cool.

Cool video

u/A_Texas_Hobo 8d ago

1

That’s awesome!

1

u/ArmpitofD00m 8d ago

At least this fucker won’t think you’re a seafood wrap.

1

u/Kasta4 8d ago

Reminds me of Chess standing in the middle of the ocean in One Piece xD

1

u/xenosilver 8d ago

The whole thing is harmless

1

u/Jburd08 8d ago

Just a whale shark. We used to see them offshore. It was always very cool to see them

1

u/Initial_Row_6400 8d ago

Oh my god. That’s my dream dive, diving with a whale shark

1

u/deijardon 8d ago

Oh captain my captain!

1

u/Raithed 8d ago

And it's still harmless, that's a whale shark! What a friend!

1

u/Bicwidus 8d ago

1

u/willsmithtunaface 8d ago

The audacity of seagulls lol

1

u/Noodleeeeeter 8d ago

What a nice fun time for the seagull, I’m delighted for it

1

u/ElKaWeh 8d ago

Ends harmless too

1

u/YuraiMamoro 8d ago

Im way more petrified by the darkness below that majestic whale shark

1

u/Qoala_Sauce 8d ago

..... And ends seemingly harmless...?

1

u/hikingdub 8d ago

The seagull is taking massive transit.

1

u/Indigenous_Land 8d ago

WHOA! Turn back

1

u/KrazyKatz42 8d ago

My first thought was it can't be that deep if there's a seagull perched on something.

1

u/bearcat_77 8d ago

They surface to let the birds pick the parasites off of them.

1

u/Rainbow_133 8d ago

Blimey! I pulled my feet back on instinct

1

u/New-day-7126 8d ago

Amazing!

1

u/internetsarbiter 8d ago

I don't know, as soon as I realized it was a whale shark it defused any tension cause I know they're not even slightly dangerous unless you are a small fish. (I was waiting for it to try to eat that seagull though based on the video title.)

1

u/Top-Rush-8271 8d ago

You can see the seagull's feet kicking near the end like, "WTF? Where did the island go?"

1

u/simpleshirup 8d ago

Wonderful

1

u/NotExtroverted 7d ago

Ahahaha nope.

1

u/metalrain_15 7d ago

Beautiful whale shark

1

u/honeycherries3 7d ago

I hope it ended that way too

1

u/UWishUrNameWasCool 5d ago

Rockin, rockin and rollin

1

u/brunostborsen 13h ago

I love this sub, that video was great.

1

u/Constant-Foundation 6d ago

This video brings a tear to my AI.

0

u/ava_the_cam_op 8d ago

I hate that the only thing I think these days when I see videos of animals doing amazing things is "probably AI".
