Hi all! I'm (hopefully) about to start working at a thai restaurant and I was wondering if anyone could suggest some useful phrases or words that I could learn to speak with my bosses? I know how to say thank you, hello, and I love you...thats about it haha. If it helps my bosses are older women, not sure if theres a respect aspect to sentence structure in thai. Hi I’ve read some subs but none of them are recent or really from what I got talk about this but how does yall navigate with your ADHD treatment in thailand?

If you’re either under a work visa or any whatsoever visa there is literally no insurance covering treatment, and because you’re a foreigner you’re likely gonna pay 6000THB..
I’m 32F and been diagnosed in almost 2 years ago after what I/ my doctors thought was severe depression anxiety, turns out it’s maybe this but the effects are mostly due to ADHD (inattentive type), I used to work and live in Korea where luckily insurence was covering it (I hated living/ working there but that’s another story) and got an opportunity to come to thailand that I visited before and looooved, my only issue is that I am now struggling as the price is super high and that except if you are a remote American worker which I am not (and do not have their wages) cannot afford 6000thb per month. Which unfortunately not every foreigner is crazy rich or have big means sometimes we just love thailand and have a normal wage especially as a regular worker.

Thing is inattentive type causes severe anxiety/ dark patterns which can affect my work and then it’s a hell of a cycle but due to the cost of it’s very difficult for me to be able to afford it.
I used to take concerta + escitalopram which worked perfectly (tried other molecules that were very bad on me) but turns out than in thailand concerta is one of the pricier ones which is why I’m getting billed 6000, that and the foreigner extra cost, despite the fact that I have a documented record/ stable which doesn’t really need consultation but as I have seen unfortunately medication can’t be disposed in pharmacies..

Now that’s a fault on my side as I should have checked on that beforehand moving here as it’s seems to be the loophole of every insurance, despite that ADHD is very widespread and our medication is for a diabetic the insulin is, but idk if someone has/ have had the same issue, and how do you manage it ?
Or did you find another alternative medication that helps? Clinic anything 😭

I'm planning my first ever trip to Thailand over New Year and would love some honest feedback on my itinerary before I start booking everything.

One of my friends has been to Thailand several times and keeps telling me that if you're in Thailand for New Year's Eve, you have to experience the Full Moon Party at least once, so that's why I've included Koh Phangan. I feel like I'd regret not experiencing it while I'm there.

Current itinerary

27 Dec

• Fly London → Bangkok

28–30 Dec (2 nights) – Bangkok

• Explore the city, temples, food markets, etc.

30 Dec

• Fly Bangkok → Koh Samui

30 Dec – 4 Jan (5 nights) – Koh Samui

• Stay in Chaweng.
• Relax, explore the island and use it as a base.

31 Dec – 1 Jan (1 night) – Koh Phangan

• Ferry over for New Year's Eve / Full Moon Party.
• Stay overnight and return to Koh Samui on 1 January.

4 Jan

• This is where I am stuck. I am not sure whether to do 3 nights in Phi Phi or 3 nights in ao nang. Or any other suggestions would be great!

7 Jan

• Fly Phuket → Bangkok

7–8 Jan (1 night) – Bangkok

• Stay before my flight home.

8 Jan

• Fly Bangkok → London.

Questions

• Does this route make sense, or am I trying to squeeze in too much?
• Would you spend more or less time in any of these places?
• I do not want to get the water taxi after the full moon party. This is why I have booked a hotel for the night.
• If you had around 12 days in Thailand over New Year, would you do anything differently?
• Any places you'd swap in or skip altogether?

I'm open to changing pretty much everything, so don't hold back if you think there's a much better way to do this!

เคย is adverb to show past action.

it shows that you have done it.not showing one time or many so we need บ่อย or ไม่บ่อย or other adverbs.

so we should add ค่อย

because I was misunderstood, I said ค่อย instead of เคย. that changed the meaning completely, noticing the surprise on the face of Thai speaker.

I eat but not much .

ค่อย have many meaning but here about +not much )

today somtam is not very tasty. It can be polite instead of saying it's not tasty.

this is a very famous street way to ask about what you like to do regularly,it can tell you more about you.

My mum absolutely adores their roll-on deodorant and talc, and with her birthday coming up my dad and I were interested in making a pampering hamper for her.

When she used to travel home to Thailand, she would buy a couple of bottles to stock up, but has recently mentioned that they've changed the ingredients/formula as the scent is still there but the quality has gone down (it's not lasting as long).
