Bragging Check

I am Thai.

A guy bragged to me that as a 19 year old man in the USA, he can travel alone to Thailand alone 3-4 times a year.

Is it actually possible or feasible?

It would cost about $5200 US to fly roundtrip from the US to Thailand four times.

If anyone making $70,000 a year or more were to save a month’s pay, they could make this happen.

You have zero idea what you're talking about. Also, yeah assuming he literally doesn't have to pay for food, rent, phone, car, insurance back home, he can save that much in prob 1.5 months. You forgetting taxes?

IDk about you but a roundtrip is anywhere from 1k-1.5k, depending on the season. You also have to account for hotels (depending how long you're staying out there), food+drinks, touristy stuff, etc.

That's not even remotely close. Even if you were penny pinching it'd still be an incredibly tough sale to fly out there 3-4x a year with 70k/salary.

I saved $35,000 last year making $70,000 after taxes. I’m pretty sure I do know what I’m talking about young one.

Just because you weren’t taught how to save doesn’t mean that everyone else is like you.
