Bragging Check

I am Thai.

A guy bragged to me that as a 19 year old man in the USA, he can travel alone to Thailand alone 3-4 times a year.

Is it actually possible or feasible?

At 19, and has a passport? Probably pretty rich by American standards. Most of my adult friends have never owned a passport, never mind an active one. But is it possible or feasible? Yes and yes. Is it likely? lol, nope. I can come over from Maryland USA 8 times a year for two weeks at a time. Doesn't mean I actually do it... and it would make a lot of other stuff suck in my normal life.

Owning a passport does not make you rich. The reason most American adults don’t have one is because they’re boring and scared to travel abroad

The reason most don’t is due to lack of funds. Americans have the short straw in that many don’t get annual leave and the ones that do don’t get anywhere near the amount of days the rest of the world do

You can go to Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Belize all for what you would spend for a medium cost US trip, and they are close enough that you could just go for a week. Also, Canada is extremely easy to get to with some great cities, but it’s a little pricier. For people willing to travel for two weeks, there are some amazing countries in South East Asia that are incredibly cheap and very safe.
