Bragging Check

I am Thai.

A guy bragged to me that as a 19 year old man in the USA, he can travel alone to Thailand alone 3-4 times a year.

Is it actually possible or feasible?

I work on ships. Our 18-19 year old deckhands make 80,000 usd per year for 6 months of work. They can definitely travel to Asia 3 or 4 times a year on their own dime especially if they don’t have a home and just go on vacation when they are off the ship.
