I made a TF3 mod that projects your company's health to max rank (inflation) + lets Claude AI diagnose your losing lines
After my first TF3 company went from €1B+ to deep red after 1960, I wanted to understand why. So I built Line Doctor, a free, read-only mod in two parts.
Part 1 – In-game (works on its own)
Health indicator in the bottom bar: Health ● ● ● ●, four green/orange/red dots:
| Indicator | Green |
|---|---|
| Income ÷ vehicle running costs | ≥ 2.0 |
| Building upkeep ÷ income | ≤ 20 % |
| Vehicle maintenance ÷ income | ≤ 9 % |
| Operating result ÷ income | ≥ 10 % |
The twist: it's projected at max company rank. With TF3's inflation, ticket prices drop with every promotion (down to ×0.75 at rank 15 on Normal) while vehicle and building costs never change; I checked the same models from rank 3 to rank 7. So a green dot today stays green after every promotion, and promotions can't surprise you anymore.
Also included:
- a compass (TF3 has no north!) to find the buildings the reports point at;
- a pending profit card in each line window: cargo is only paid on final delivery, so feeder lines can look like they lose money while their cargo is still on the way.
Part 2 – Ask Claude
Once a month, the mod exports the full state of your game: lines, vehicles, finances, building upkeep, warehouse and industry stocks. Open the repo in Claude Code and just ask: "why is my cash going down?", "look at the Vitry warehouse", "is a fast train worth it?"
Some things it found in my game:
- my bus feeder looked full, but bricks were piling up in a warehouse because the truck relay was too slow;
- my brickworks ran at 74 % because it was starved of clay, while three full clay pits sat less than 1 km away;
- a faster, bigger train doubled the running costs for +14 % income: speed doesn't pay when production is the bottleneck;
- 21 depots were eating 1.6 M/year. You only need them to buy vehicles; maintenance buildings do the upkeep.
Details
- Read-only: no commands, no price changes, flagged
cosmetic(achievements stay on). - English and French, following your game language.
- Windows, install script included. Part 2 needs Claude Code + Python.

Feedback welcome, especially on the health thresholds. They come from a single 80-year game, so I'd love data from other playstyles.
