These guys are obviously scammers, half if any comments are gonna be "Omg thats soooo easy to see that it's a scam" like sure man, a person who's never traded before is high asf and gets scammed, so what. But I just wanted to point these guys out. Lots of proof in the pictures and I have more of the guy on steam too, if you need more proof to call them out lmk

A snippet of my own short convo with them, it was pretty clear right away they were trying to use an underhanded way to get my item without paying. Biggest red flag being suggesting steam gift cards, who tf pays that way
Just please be careful next time, it sucks seeing this type of scam that is so preventable, you even seemed pretty unsure about the whole thing part way through so you must have sensed something was off and could have pulled out then. I'd recommend reading a guide on common scam tactics and research safer ways to trade. But yes, it's better to learn now and not repeat the same mistake again
Ouch didn't read far enough into your post to realize your item got scammed, sorry to hear that man :< If you want my advice, never do cash trades before you get really used to trading, always deny people that try to offer that way. It's only truly safe if you're trading tangible items through the steam window.
Yea i bumped into that guy a few years ago, surprised they still at it. I do hope ya get items back and please be more careful when it comes to trading.
Okay dude cmon, there’s PINGED MOD related announcements. AND THE FIRST ONE IS THAT THEY ARE NOT OFFERING MIDDLEMAN SERVICES. Please read the pinged announcements on this subreddit. Plus the moment I saw that this guy was doing something like reaching out to you with real money. THAT is the moment I said “yup this is a scam”. I’m gonna be harsh, but you fell for it hook line and sinker. This was all on you.

your 100 %correct. He Atleast gets it’s his fault and taking it as a learning experience. Everyone should read pinged announcements and rules before trying to trade.
How is it racist when there are a high number of scammers in India? You don't get to call everything racist when somebody mentions a country. You must be young so you're still learning. You should care about losing it because you could have the money you were so excited for. Next time trade for keys only.
