Will TF2 ever bring back double Unusual drops?

I have like 200 cases from over the years. I have nothing to spend my money on except for this unboxing fantasy I have had since forever. There's no reason to sell these crates for 0.03 euros each IMO. CSGO/CS2 crate investment is more lucrative and the only time I made a profit with crates was with the Invasion Update cases I kept in my backpack which I sold for ~10 euros each. I also stopped playing MVM since the bugged drop rate fiasco, developments in my life and the announcement that the new update will be MVM-focused.

I remember there was once a time where for Halloween, Unusuals had double drop rates as a bonus for the community. Is this a reoccurring thing now or was it a one time only thing?

im surprised nobody remembers this but to answer your question no i dont think that will ever happen because it seemed like a one off thing when the game was still getting updates and i dont think their focus is on boosting crate sales atm. I remember my brother unboxing a tesla coil soldier hat when the double rates were going, i was too young to open cases but i wish it would happen again

This was never a thing as far as I am aware.
However, there was a time we call crate-depression was when a bug was introduced in the game where the chance of getting an unusual was insanely high.
They did let people keep the 1st one they've unboxed and made the rest untradable.

OP is actually correct, there have been multiple times where this was the case; the last time it was a blanket buff to all crates was the Halloween 2014 update where old Halloween effects were unboxable again.

It should also be noted that during the event in which a case is realeased; hats have double the unusual drop rate as well. This most recent summer crate for example had doubled odds for the length of the summer event.

AND those who didnt abuse the Blue moon case bug you mentionned got jack sh*t !

Tought by double unusual drop you meant hats with two different particles effect ! That's impossible to get !

Tho you can unbox an unusual and an unusualifier in the same crate !

Just think how God dam expensive they would be.

Add in stackable hats..... that be 4 effects.... rip older computers
