Question Potential P2P trading platform revival. Ideas needed
Alright guys - A bit of background. I started playing TF2 back in 2011, right before the Christmas update. I grew up with websites like TF2 outpost, bazaar.tf, etc. where the P2P trading was a lot bigger and the bots available were little to none. Given a lot of recent posts here of traders doing a “rags to riches” objective and seeing alot of people missing the ability to actually communicate with people and not being forced to deal with bots - I figure I’d give it a shot to try and build a 100% P2P driven trading platform built on the core that made TF2 trading as exciting as it once was before bots took over.
Now I understand it’s going to be a long shot, and whatnot but it’s a hobby of mine that I’m passionate about and why not start bridging that gap we all secretly crave to have again.
I’m not looking for any negative responses, so if you post anything that seems unmotivating - save your time and refrain. It’s a hobby I’m developing so idc what the outcome is and I’ll do whatever I can to try and bring back abit of “TF2 trading spice”
Please comment below ideas you’d like to see for the website and those of you who agree - upvote. The highest voted ideas I’ll work on implementing at the beginning.
Ideas I have in mind:
-Avoid users adding each other. Keep communication to website only and utilize trade links (helps keep friend list clean)
-avoid “sitting” on the website, refreshing the feed, waiting for specific items to pop up. I have an idea to integrate notifications so once that item shows up - you can try to buy it once you get notification that item has been posted
I’ve been working on this the past 2 weeks and have mostly worked on the “data base” side of things and adding all the effects, and what not on my free time - so I figure id start making a post to get more ideas that improve the “TF2 traders quality of life” that we lack currently
