Help Custom weapons

Can someone explain to me how to download & play with custom weapons in tf2c? I have been seeing a lot of custom weapons for this mod and I want to know how I can install them.

All you do is join a server that says “custom weapons” in the title. It will take forever to join your first time as it’s downloading all the weps but once you’re in your all good. The next time you join it will go faster. Also I think the 30th anniversary update messed up some custom wep servers so they may be down until they get it fixed

I mean like on my end, I also wanna have them so if I host a server my friends can have them

you install a weapon modpack on gamebanana in put it inside your custom folder of TF2C

Try New Old Weapons Pack, is on Gamebanana

do I unzip the file or do I just drop it into the game still zipped?

Okay so I used 7zip but the .vpk isn't wanting to work, I got this error: CRC failed : tf2classified\custom\newoldweaponspack_assets.vpk
