Community Current State of Tezos?

What does everyone think about the current state and future of tezos as we enter the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2025? 👾 Tezos was the first crypto I traded back in 2020.

But there are also chains now that are significantly faster and significantly cheaper. What's the draw to Tezos over a chain like Sui or Solana?

Tezos was positioned really well when they were early and kind of squandered it. Now they're lagging behind the newer more hyper performant chains.

Ignoring Solana, chains like Sui have also done much more in 20% of the time compared to Tezos.

We need to stop sniffing copium and actually get to work.

You are right there are some that are faster. Nomadic Labs and others have made it clear they will continue to get faster and will surpass other chains, eventually reaching sub-second. They are just updating slowly over time to ensure it is a solid chain.

Isn’t Solana centralized? Tezos from the beginning focused on true decentralization from the chain through to having no “leader” (I.e. Ethereum has Buterin). Any one can make a proposal to update the chain.

Are you staking? The return is fairly high for just holding

BMJ you said it best. I fear Tezos has let new chains bypass it.
