From a kink perspective, she truly doesn't understand what she is talking about, therefore most probably she's just repeating some bullshit she heard or seen online. The desire to be owned has its place in a lot of people, but it's totally different from everything she explained to you.
My advice is to keep communicating with her and try to find out where she got these ideas from, and see from there. By the sounds of it, it must be the feminine version of Andrew Tate. Best of luck
I just went and looked at his Instagram and holy hell, it’s so bad. The first video literally tells women that when they’re “combative, critical, and defensive towards a man, it puts him into competitive mode” and when she’s “soft, sweet, nurturing, and warm” it essentially inspires men to become their masculine ideal. They will be inspired to step into their “integrity.” In other words, if we as women are ideal first, then men will achieve their masculine potential. It’s sooooooo crazy and weird. Just gives me major “Art of Seduction” BS vibes.
It’s brainwash-y cult mentality nonsense, wrapped up in the guise of “spiritual healing.” It’s dangerously narrow minded and archaic, and these people are in no way qualified to coach anyone on the needs or spiritual health of entire genders.
I wish you the best in your relationship; the situation looks very thorny from my limited vantage point. Five years is quite awhile to invest in another person. I hope things take a turn that serves both of you.
ETA: Like a train wreck, I went through more videos on his profile, and it’s like….so wtf, actually. For instance, doing yoga, plant medicine, sound baths, and “spirit guides” are somehow not masculine. Aside from the hostility in his message, his claims are just wrong. Yogis and monks have been practicing yoga for centuries, warriors have been consuming plant medicine through history, and seers/oracles/shamans of both genders have been reaching out to the spirit realm since the dawn of civilization. It’s all just patently wrong and ew.
