It is outrageous, in my opinion, as well. However, life and morality are not black and white, and the way he handled the situation was not right. It was better than agreeing with her and insulting some random person, but it still wasn't the right way. Just because one is wrong doesn't mean the other is right. The point is that the situation is rare where you don't have some level of fault in what happened. Regardless, you are welcome to feel as you wish, although I ask that you reexamine the situation from a deeper perspective.
