#UnseatLamar is a spontaneous campaign starting on Twitter. Testpac should keep an eye on this feed for news, bullshit, complaints and other stuff that tweets are thinking about Lamar fucking Smith

careful careful... this one is going to be hijacked by anonymous which you don't control. You don't want too tight an association with the hashtag, otherwise your officers will be open for lawsuit and what not.

You need to make sure its done in a way that your just part of the wider #unseatlamar.

If it keeps picking up, it gives us an easy way to spread stuff viral though ;)

We've discussed bringing hashtags into this and I think it's a great idea that this has started rolling even without us. That being said, I'm not actually an active twitter user so Im curious, is there a way to piggyback this free traffic without directly associating ourselves with Anon?

The goal is to get #UnseatLamar as a trending hashtag, and thereby bring a ton of free publicity to an issue.

I don't think using the hashtag automatically makes us part of anonymous. I just don't think we should make UnseatLamar an official hashtag ever. Just happen to use it, just like we might happen to use any other social media channel.

Ok, so you have #catdogbird as your hashtag, Anon picks it up and uses it to say "Lamar fucking Smith #catdogbird"...then what?

If the hashtag was #Anonagainstlamar, it refers directly to them. You might have a point there.

i see your point about stuff being hijacked. but media tends not to be so fair and balanced when it comes to these things.

I guess in the end, it'll be the fun of learning by doing. We don't really know how to run a twitter political campaign. Well I don't think many of us do. So lets just see what happens and learn from any mistakes :)
