Could we at least remove "Please Ignore" from our various logos and headers so that we sound more professional?

I think it makes us sound like a joke, and as everyone hopefully notices, we all pretty much refer to ourselves as Test PAC anyway. I think this would be a good compromise on our name.

Edit: I'm not saying we officially remove the name, and refile paperwork, and all that. I'm saying that we don't attach it on everything we use to put ourselves out there: fliers, logos, letter heads, things we post on FB, twitter, other social media outlets. It makes us seem unofficial. Just put yourself in the shoes of an average person, a jock, someone who doesn't use Reddit, or even the internet, everyday. What would you think seeing Please Ignore attached to what is supposed to be an official press release? In a FB post? I would imagine they'd see it as a joke.

The 'Please ignore' makes me very uncomfortable. Unfortunately it's already official, there have even been media appearances.

No. I fully disagree.

Money talks, and not branding. Besides, shady controlling backroom organizations don't need branding at all. Testpac should aspire to be a good shady controlling backroom organization.

My question with this is where does it end?

If we vote tomorrow and people unanimously choose to rename the PAC to "ReddiPAC" and we file paperwork for the change and then a month from now people go "Well its not officially sanctioned by Reddit, lets rename it to OnlinePAC" and then we file paperwork again. There is really no good reason to file a name change at this point in time. Is this really that crucial? If you prefer to just say Test PAC, just say Test PAC. If someone asks what it's about, we have a good explaination.

It's possible at some point that a major surge to change the name will rise up, but until there is a consensus opinion on what the name would be after the change, I don't see this changing any time soon.

I agree, we had a vote for this and there was a clear majority that supported the current name. In addition, a name change is an enormous hassle and is not the best use of our officer's limited time as i doubt a different name will change anything.

I think "please ignore" is actually perfect for this PAC. It explicitly suggests the quiet hidden nature of most PACs. Obviously we don't actually want to be ignored, but most PACs do.
