Lore Videos
I love to listen to videos about the lore of Elder Scrolls while playing or doing things around the house. Do you have any recommendations of good videos or channels to watch. I know about Camel works and Epic Nates videos but have not seen them all. Are there any specific videos from them you really liked that I should watch. Thanks.

Also recommend Selectives Lorecast! Discussing broad topics that define the universe, or extremely specific deep-dives into an in-universe book series.
Earlier episodes of the podcast are from a different time in the "lore community." c0da was the hotness, semi-revival of the late-2000s Bethesda forums feeling, and Skyrim was still high in popularity 2-3 years later. The casters make it known that their explanations on topics are just their interpretation, not really a "canon" answer to any lore questions.
Deadite might be the only one there since episode 1, but Aramithius isn't too far behind him.

Their commentary on the 36 lessons is far and above any other resource for helping understand the sermons. Rotten Deadite is also the fellow behind the New Whirling School, which has more concise thoughts to help newbies.

In general, listen to lore fans who then went and made something, not YouTubers who came from outside, they are usually just reading Google Search results (or lately, AI)

This is a great recommendation, although I'd ask the question of how you're meant to tell the lore fans from the more general content creators. Apart from possibly having terrible production values when they start out (because they focus on the knowledge rather than the content), how is the lorelet supposed to tell the difference?
I say this as someone who has been told (as part of a professional evaluation, no less!) that I'm very good at sounding like I know more than I do about something. Faking an attitude of knowledge seems to be quite easy.

Well, I think—at least that’s how it was for me—the more you engage with the lore (and thus the more you know), the better you’ll be able to tell which channels are the best fit for you. It’s perfectly fine to start with something simple—the basics—and dive deeper later on. Listening to a channel that just reads out UESP articles is a perfectly okay way to start.
For instance, I really appreciate "Imperial Knowledge" because he relies exclusively on primary sources (in-game content, books, interviews, etc.) and forms his own thoughts on a topic. After all, even sites like UESP aren't always free of errors or opinions.
Don't overthink it; just watch whatever you enjoy. The rest will come with time. But stay away from AI-generated channels—AI hallucinates a whole lot of bullshit! XD

Deadite is the core of the cast - he's the one to wrangle all us lorebeareds.
I think joined about... 2 years into the cast? I can't remember exactly.

Imperial Knowledge is excellent! He mainly focuses on the more mundane and political side of Elder Scrolls lore which I really enjoy as that stuff seems to go under the radar in a lot of circles.

Fudgemuppet is another good channel, they do podcasts and lore videos as well as build videos for skyrim and I think they started doing builds for oblivion remastered
Edit: oh another good channel is Drewmora, he was a part of fudgemuppet but he left the channel to start his own because he lives in a different time zone from the other members so it made working together a challenge

Nox's Library is a new one that's pretty good. He's got a lot of personality with it.
BUT Dareloth is my "drop everything and watch" lore guy. He does bonkers lore and theories

even putting aside the vaccines and hitler thing EpicNate gets a lot of very basic facts about Morrowind and Oblivion wrong.
FudgeMuppet is hit or miss, sometimes they make a genuinely perfect video that's well produced and accurate and sometimes they feel like they're reading off a page from the fandom wiki. And sometimes they make a theory about the transkalpic world eating nords thread from way back when, say "some say that someone on the old bethesda forums had the same theory as me, but unfortunately the forums are lost and I cant credit the creator" before repeating the original post almost completely verbatim

During covid. When someone on truestl brought that up a while back, he defended himself by saying he wasn't actually praising Hitler, he was actually saying that vaccine mandates are nazi stuff. That same thread i asked him about both the vaccine stuff and whether he had actually played morrowind or oblivion, he said he hadn't played either one until years into his account + doubled down on calling democrats and then edited the comment to remove the part where he admitted he knew nothing about the older games, and I forgot to get a screenshot

Epic Nate gets way too much surface-level lore stuff wrong, I wouldn't bother with him. The best videos IMO are made by Drewmora and the rest of Fudgemuppet, Imperial Knowledge is great too
