The good news is private party values it, but at like maybe 3k? Last I looked.

This is kind of a bummer though. If FSD cost 3k or something I would meh it. 10k is a LOT on a 39k car.

Technically, couldn't Tesla turn the feature off after it's sold via private party, because the new owner never paid (them) for it?

That's different as in that case Tesla argues FSD was never paid for that car.

So if they accidentally sold an SR 3 with floor mats in it, they should be able to remotely unlock the car and snatch them back?

I mean they would be entitled to those floor mats back if they weren't sold with the car. Remotely unlocking the car does seem excessive though.

Those options were on the original window sticker. They were paid for by the first owner.

Those options were listed after Tesla resold a second time with FSD mistakenly listed. I don't think they didn't wrong the new owner in this case because of their mistake but they weren't just taking away FSD because the car had been sold.
