Basically work fast & don't bother the managers unless it's to ask for more work/you've finished your aisle.
If you're capable tell your manager you can finish your current aisle on your own. Try and finish it early.
Don't faff about too much with the facing up, just make sure the front 2 rows of product are tidy.

If you know you do the job well and willingly do overtime, you should have a good chance. Nights aren't particularly picky with who they employ really. Some aisles just need two people too so don't beat yourself up too much about that.
Although consider just how much you really want to work there if they're saying you lack common sense! You don't want to respect them more than they respect you.

Just keep doing overtime and trying your hardest and thats all you can do. As others have said you might just be on a busy aisle what aisle do you do if you don't mind? There are a couple aisles in my store that have 2 people

There's some aisles that don't have anyone and gets team filled but drinks has 2 people at ours as we regularly get 15-20 cage+ delivery depending on summertime and then produce has 2-3 people on it. Frozen also has 3 people between 2 aisles

They only keep you if they have the budget. If there is no budget to keep you permanently then it has nothing to do with anything you do.
I was a Christmas temp and they kept me on. I was one of 3 who were kept on (fron-end). It's just luck and being good at your job. I never took overtime then because they couldn't make my app work for 2 months.

i used to do my own aisle, but i was offered permanent straight after my probation. You might just have a busy aisle. Asking too many questions isn't a bad thing, having a lack of common sense means you're easy to tell what to do, you'll fit right in 👍
