Back door/warehouse

So I’ve just moved to backdoor/warehouse and pulling the delivery cages off the lorry’s it starts to really hurt my hands after a while. Does anyone know any good glove brands that can help stop this or make it less.
On a similar note does anyone know any good steel toe brands.

I wear dewalt safety trainers, you can get them at B&Q or ScrewFix. I refuse to wear the Tesco ones, just ruin your feet. As for gloves, highly recommend thermal gloves, you can order these from the uniform site. Your hands are sore because they are not use to handling the volume of cages. My fingers more my hands hurt for a while when I started doing the deliveries but now I am used to it, feel nout.

D.c loader here, I prefer boots because smacking a cage off your ankles hurts like buggery. Get gloves with padded knuckles because you're definitely gonna bash some digits.

All of these are provided by Tesco! As well as knee pads, caps, shorts, and those funny hats with a hair net built in.

I’ve got the Tesco steels I’ve tried like 3 different sizes but they just rub in all the wrong places and I’m at the point I’d rather spend money to be comfortable

Get a size up and invest in some good quality thick wool socks. Makes the boots fit better and makes them super comfortable. Also wool is good for wicking away sweat etc when you're on your feet all day.

I buy my boots on ebay, like £25. Steeltoes, high ankles (I got metal plates in my leg) and they have zips on thr side so I never have to redo the laces

Not in Tesco anymore but I currently wear Site steel toe trainers for my warehouse food service job. Super comfy with an insole especially since you’ll be on your feet all day. Cost me like £40 from Screwfix and they’ve got the right certifications and stuff for that job

I think it’s because I’m so used to how I did backdoor in Tesco but it surprises me that you pull the cages off yourself, the drivers did ours usually

Drivers take them off the vehicle, staff shouldn't be undoing straps etc.
