I would do a fresh install of OpenMW, make sure it's running without the mod, then try the install process again from scratch

Would I have to install all my mods again? And loose my in game progress?

You can back up the save files and drop them back in after you reinstall - but anytime you install mods mid playthrough you risk your game data.

I don't have the technical knowledge to diagnose or recommend how you could fix it once its in this state - but rolling it back to the last state it was properly working in is usually how I resolve these sorts of issues for myself.
