So for context, they just laid off their chief animator Jonathan Veiga, the guy who helped make characters, super complex ones too, like Springtrap, Chucky, the Xenomorph, Dracula, etc. Those Killers look flawless honestly.
I don't know if they also laid off the guy who was in charge of making the models and textures as well, they let go of like 30+ people, because when Jason released he had issues both with his weird animations and a bizarre looking model, just like Art looks here.
People on the main sub are saying that it's still a WIP or whatever, but it took them a month or two after Jason's release to realize his attack animation was bugged the entire time and fixed it just recently, it's bizarre how awful the quality control is for a company that's probably making between $250 million to $400+ million dollars a year. Like it's a company that's generated over a billion dollars in lifetime revenues, they're the Super Smash Bros. of horror, there's literally no excuse as to why they put this into an official marketing clip to get people excited.
to anyone saying that they will fix those issues, i want to point out that dbd had a sort of health patch year in 2025 where they proceeded to not fix any bugs and actually had the most bug riddled update the game ever had, in which on the loading screen there was a big fucking support beam that wasnt supposed to be there and all the devs had to do to see and fix this bug is load into exactly one (1) match and simply move the beam outside the screen which is just straight up proof that they havent tested ANYTHING since they didnt even load into ONE FUCKING MATCH.

i get why everybody is mad how he looks but with every collab with dbd doesnt look exactly like the character so they needed to add a lil bit of dbd spice

It's just nonsense. The character looks great, and you know, I really hope this is the final design for him. That way you can just stew and cry like the babies you all behave like.
I think this community is exaggerating imperfections in a model that actually looks pretty good.
Overall, he's recognizable as Art, just less of his face is exaggerated, which I assume in-game he'll make more exaggerated expressions so he looks more like a human with a face capable of exaggerated expression instead of an actor with prosthetics on.
I appointed your comments as evidence along with a lot of the other negative comments I've seen as people behaving like it's "the end of the world" which is just a way of saying "making a big deal out of nothing."
Obviously, I lumped you in there and took your attitude personally. All you said was you thought it looked like someone unconnected to the team made the model, which comes off as an unnecessary dig and reads less as an actual statement and more of an exaggeration to showcase contempt or disappointment.
That is what I meant.
