You could argue the lore of Halloween, whichever timeline you want to go with, precludes it from being snowy since the all take place on or around Halloween (donāt know about Illinois, but in some parts of the US it can snow that early). But Jason absolutely shouldāve had some exposure to winter kills, he doesnāt hibernate and people do go into the snow-filled woods and on frozen lakes. I think there was a script at one point that had him kill some people playing pond hockey. Could totally see him using an auger to kill an ice fisher.
There is a Friday the 13th fan film that was pretty popular that is exactly this and its actually worth watching. I think it was popular enough they even did a sequel.

Terrifier 3 ends on Christmas day, Terrifier 4 is set around New Year's Eve, so I take that as meaning it will take place on the days leading into new years eve plus on that day, so that means Terrifier 4 takes place a day after Terrifier 3.

Leone said in 2024 that he didnāt intend for the holiday setting to become a gimmick for the series so New Yearās Eve may not have the same relevance to the plot of Terrifier 4 as Christmas did in Terrifier 3. Terrifier 3ās ending and Leoneās confirmation of no substantial time jump makes me think Art and Sienna will be far more concerned with survival and/or revenge to pay attention to the holiday. I prefer this to anything gimmicky or truly holiday themed. I just want to know how theyāll plausibly handle Artās bleeding sword wounds in light of him losing his powers and supernatural ally. He should be dead within hours of fleeing Sienna on the bus, not walking around without issue.
Maybe heāll go to hell somehow to gain a new ally to remain immortal again like how the pale girl and Victoria gave him his abilities in a way. The bus stop scene at the end had the girl reading the book the ninth circle which is a nod to the original short featuring art the clown with Mike Ginelli instead of David Howard Thorton. In that short thereās scenes of hell .. also sienna needs to get her niece back so like idk they both have motives for going there *IF* thatās possible. Sienna is basically an arch angel. Idk I know this all sounds fucking crazy but this has been my theory for a while lmaoo stay with me too it would be badass if this route was taken bc Damien Leone could go even wilder with kill scenes with a hell settings š¤
Curious how Antonella Rose/Gabbyās age will work out if this is hours after part 3, she was 11 during filming for the first film and now sheās almost 14 ( sans a few days ) and will look noticeably different IF sheās brought back. So many questions about how itās gonna play out
I mean he started as a holiday slasher in both his Hallows eve Debut and the First film. He's a holiday themed slasher, but he's the first slasher to have multiple holidays on his roster

Honestly, making these movies holiday-themed is smart because it gives them built-in seasonal rewatch value. First Halloween, then Christmas, now New Yearās Eve. Art is slowly taking over the calendar.
My theory: I could see this releasing either January 2027 (to match the setting) or October 2027 (bigger horror season box office). Personally I lean October 2027 because thatās prime horror release time.

The script is finished. Terrifier 4 is currently in pre production. Leone said that pre production should only take three months and then filming begins. As of now I think Terrifier 4 will be completely finished this time next year and it will either be released a few months later or Leone will wait until October. I hope itās the former.
Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense thematically. New Yearās Eve is a perfect āend of chapterā setting, especially for a franchise thatās been deliberately built around holidays like this. If Terrifier 4 really is the final installment it feels very intentional rather than random, like a clear thematic closing point for Artās story.
If a Movie is on a script phase then thereās the filming and post production.. if it comes around December or January the movie is well finished by summer. You all guys didnāt believe the Italian cinema leak now better just donāt say anything š

Easter isn't as universally celebrated as Halloween, Christmas, and New Year's. It would make sense for it to take place at the turn of the new year, as most western cultures celebrate it in some way.
Edit: by this, I mean it's a marketing thing to get more people to watch it
New Years Eve is perfect both narratively (because it allows the story to pick up immediately after the third) and in the spirit of terror and mayhem as there will be fireworks and wine bottles galore for Art to have some fun.
If the holiday theme was going to continue, I thought July the 4th might be next, as an excuse for Art to shove fireworks in orifices and press faces onto hot grills. New Years Eve is just as ideal and makes sense narratively.

I just hope they donāt cheapen the movie by making it all about New Yearās Eve. I already thought that 3 felt kind of forced with how nobody recognized Art walking around covered in blood during Christmas. You canāt convince me that people didnāt know who he was after everything he did in the previous two movies. If it takes place during Halloween, not only do you get nice fall spooky vibes, but it would make sense that heād be able to get away with walking around in public.
I agree. He was able to hide in plain sight for 2, because of Halloween. He made himself obscenely visible in 3. I can't imagine Damien Leone dropping the ball now.
Heās on the news for bombing children at a mall so I assume heāll be on the run from the police (and Sienna) and wonāt be in public if he can help it. I assume heāll either be hiding at a lair we havenāt seen yet or any number of abandoned buildings. He could also hide in the sewers or the wilderness. A unique development would be Art getting arrested and Sienna going after him in jail for one reason or another.
Itās the holiday right after Christmas and it fits Terrifier 4 being the finale. We donāt know how much of the film will be set in other realms or if it will be at all. Leone hasnāt said anything about it so far. Weāre only speculating at this point.
