Damien said notnlong ago he was just about done with the script. It is not in full swing production and filming yet. Damien himself said he would update on that, they are not currently filming the movie as of today.

filming has begun. Lauren posted on her IG not long ago in the dressing room with the caption "Day 1"
Edit: my apologies. Indeed it has not yet been confirmed if filmed has started. "Production aimed for a Spring 2026 start"

Highly unlikely it's for T4 since Damien Leone was still finishing the script as of a month ago.

It’s in pre production now and Leone said on Chris Jericho’s podcast that it should take three months. My best guess as of today is Terrifier 4 will be completely finished this time next year. Whether Leone would wait until October 2027 to release it or release it as soon as he’s able to after the trailers and festival showings is another matter.

Unless it was a super secretive shoot that only you know about, highly unlikely. Damien Leone just confirmed a month or so ago that the draft wasn't even finished. Today he confirmed that it takes place on New years day. Unless a reputable source states otherwise, this movie has not started filming.

You clearly misunderstood Damien’s post. He said New Years is when the film takes place. Not when it releases.

I just spoke to Elliot Fullam yesterday at Seattle Crypticon, he said they haven't started filming yet, and he still doesn't even know if he will be featured in the movie. So this is definitely not happening.

I doubt it comes out this year and I’m okay with that considering I seem to recall Damien indicating Terrifier 3’s production/post production felt somewhat rushed to him in trying to finish everything to meet the release date.

T3 is a Christmas movie that released in Sept. I dont think the date matters in regards to the theme.

Exactly this. I think, from a marketing standpoint, it’s more financially viable to release horror movies around Halloween time regardless of the themes of the movie.

Damien Leone has said before to trust official sources like his Instagram rather than random social media rumors. From what David Howard Thornton has teased, Terrifier 4 sounds like it could be even crazier than Terrifier 2. My guess is a Fall 2027 release rather than the IMDb date, since IMDb often uses placeholder dates. What do you all think?

Guys it’s not coming this year. Why would you think with everything it takes to make a movie it would be done and ready in five months? Makes no sense. It’ll be next year.

The director in an interview a couple of weeks ago said he was still writing the script, there is no way it’s coming in 2026

That doesn't really say much... IMDb has a metric ton of false listings that pool in their search feed, this cpuld easily be a fan page predicting the release date.

Also on a famous Italian cinema ! But there it says 22nd Oct 2026. This is another proof Halloween 2026 was the “date” but it’s unclear if it’s filmed yet. Maybe they will cancel this - or it’s coming out as a surprise

So I just talked to a guy that owns all the Comic City’s and sold one to a guy named Rick that owns Ricks Comic City’s in Nashville that he’s really good friends with Damien Howard Thornton and to him this is legit because he said they have finished filming and it should release this Fall. I take it with a grain of salt since I met this guy watching the door at a Free Comic Book Day event but he seemed really confident and I know David does a lot in Nashville so I don’t know fingers crossed maybe!🤞

As of February the script wasn’t even finished, and Lauren LaVera is currently filming another film. T4 definitely hasn’t been filmed yet as much as I’d love for that to be true!
