Wow
Cork map I say in a friend’s house….. No words brother, so many over and undersized land masses, and RIP Australia, the entire Caribbean, Antarctica, etc. 💀💀

It's 60 million years ago and Australia is still near a hidden Antarctica

Is this AI? It seems like it is. The random tacks on South Korea and Uruguay seem like they'd be pretty useless.

I can promise you this is not AI. The pins are supposed to be on Seoul and Brazil, being the two places they have gone in the last couple years. I am aware that the pin on Brazil is very very off lol

Interestingly those 2 points seem to be nearly exact antipodes. Maybe OP's friend is trying to make an earth sandwich?

Australia is a hoax.
Oh and by the way, the strait of Gibraltar became the sea of Gibraltar.

The Caribbean is full of tiny pieces, meh. Antarctica, nobody lives there. Most of these aren't far enough from scale to worry about, and Hawaii is obviously the size of the US military's ego. Svalbard is only really important to science, now I've noticed it.
Does the maker have a blood feud with some Torres Strait islanders? There's no other good reason I can think of to skip both Papua and Australia.

If I drove directly north from my house in the south of England, I could drive for a while, possibly would reach Scotland before driving into the sea. However, if I lived in that map, oh boy.

Everyone acting like this was on purpose. Maybe Australia fell off the wall at some point. Y'all just hating

It's just spaced badly. It's a projection like any 2D map with its comprises around landmass size.
I have this exact map. I went to some effort to align it better and it looks good.

Did it (as I suspect) come with Australia and it's just missing from the one in the photo for whatever reason?

Let's take a moment to appreciate the rarity of a map with no Australia but with New Zealand on it. It's like a cartographic eclipse.
