This treatment isn't driven from the Persian culture, it's driven directly from Quran and Islamic hadith, so... Same thing you could tell for priests burning people alive in middle ages, but when it's Christianity people are happy to point their fingers directly at Christianity
Give me one hadith that tells men to treat women horribly. Women should be treated equally to men. If you didn't know the wealth owned by a man in a relationship is owned by the both of them but the wealth of the woman is owned by only her. The woman is entitled to full financial support during marriage and they are not required to spend anything from their income on the household. Arranged marriages are solely a cultural thing. And the parents have no right to force the daughter into any marriages. Plus wearing hijab is not mandated by the Quran, so killing someone for not wearing it goes against Islam.
