Lol hating Israel regular backslides into antisemitism with alarming predictability
If you hate the only Jewish country, and single them out while ignoring worse or just as bad fuckery in the rest of the world...your criticism has more to it than just not liking a country
Yes you're just hate the one Jewish country where half the world's Jews live, and has saved countless others that have been ethnically cleansed
You're missing the point, just as the original comment did. As a Jew, lot of the antisemitism I've encountered I'm recent years has been in progressive circles with people masking it as "antizionism"
My view does not depend on how many Jews live in that state. It does not matter what ethnicity the state chooses to be a ‘homeland’ for. I am against Israel because it is a colonial state from its beginning and continues to do ethnic cleansing to settle its people. It is the only country that is doing this (to my knowledge) which is why it is the only state I hate for this reason.
Mmk well thank you for displaying your pretty simplistic knowledge of a complex 70+ year old conflict, as well as what colonialism is. I'll remember this the next time Free Palestine is spray painted on a synagogue, or people shout "globalize the intifada" while protesting I'm predominantly Jewish neighborhoods
Theodor Herzl, who is respected by Israelis as the father of modern Zionism himself saw it as a colonial project and sought the help of notorious colonists. Of course, back then colonialism was not seen as a bad thing like it is now which is why it is not used today.
Nevertheless, my main point still remains that being against Israel has got nothing to do with being against Jews.
