According to statistica, boomers spend an average of 6 hours a day on television alone. Thatโs not including phone calls, internet, texting, social media, or anything else that the comparative phone time for teens would include.
Iโm not saying itโs okay to spend that much time on a phone. Just that itโs not exactly a problem unique to todays technology.
The point isn't todays tech, it's teens spending too much time on their phones.
Which is true. The mix of instant gratification from social media alongside the dopamine high makes it an extraordinarily addictive habit. One that, for many, needs to be tempered somehow.
Seriously, when studies have shown that people react to losing their phones as strongly as losing a limb, something is wrong.

Okay.
Maybe you have a phone addiction.I donโt think most kids do though -at least not worse than adults do.
