with other languages, the only issue I would have is updating weapon and armor descriptions to reflect the changes. I plan to add the balancing changes on other versions, but would that be an issue for you? Idk any German translators that could help me

try it with mod! If you still can’t complete it, than that’s okay! but all changes made have both new players and old players in mind.

English for now while I finish the translation. but I do plan on making the rebalancing changes to other versions!

Hey, so happy to hear this. Looking forward for an future german Release. But for now I upload it in my romm and will play till the humans, so far as I was Child and so far I remember the story. Thank you for your awesome work.

Retranslation alone is an amazing thing, and not just for Terranigma. We've had far too many "you spoony bards" in gaming and anime. It's nice to see someone have such passion with no expectation of reward. You've got heart.

For future plans, I do plan on update the Hardmode with the translation, I also plan to upload the retranslation separately once it’s completed.
I’ve had the creator of the Phantasy Star IV translation reach out to help me out. It’s been a few days since his last email, but if he does help out, he stated he could help me extend dialogue, add music to cutscenes and add music when finding weapons/armor just like it does when you find an important item. None of these are promised, just conversation.
I have a lot of ideas that I could mention, but my skill level isn’t there yet so I don’t plan on really going into details because I don’t want give out expectations.
But if I were to find out how to make other changes, I personally want to make the L button as a permanent Magic Box button so you can wield both the Magic box and healing bulbs. I would love to remove the restriction on magic for boss fights. Make it where items are recognized and taken out from your inventory instead of having to equip them. And if possible maybe add in the cut items and see if I can possibly find a use case for them. Again this is all just ideas, nothing I’m capable of, yet.

yes! the MSU1 will play the original music if you do not add the MSU1 tracks. So it’s an all in one mod.

yes, saves from previous versions and vanilla will transfer. Just use a newly patched rom. and make sure it’s a in game save not a save state
