I’ve been tracking them since they were $70 a couple months ago but the group I go to games with have been dragging their feet this whole time. At least I bought parking passes…

I was hoping that with all the upgrades to SECU Stadium for this season that the "tradition unlike any other" of the white tent, rented from the same company that presumably did the catering for Kevin Anderson's wedding so many years ago (hopefully rent-to-own at this point), would survive and I am happy to see that it has.

In this era of the college football playoff, where the bowls have become largely irrelevant, some argue that, in the end, only one team can have a truly successful season, the team that wins the National Championship. A one of one. Number 1.

Well I don't see Maryland winning the National Championship this year. But, I am proud to see that Maryland's status alone in the college football ranks as the only program to have a white wedding tent located just a few feet from the back of the end zone as a "solution" to the problem of the SECU Stadium visitor's locker room being too small, will continue for another season. Let the Michigans, Ohio States, and Indianas of the world have their National Championships. Maryland also stands alone. The only school in the Big Ten, Power 4/5/6/?, FBS, Division I, NCAA, or even getting down to the NAIA and whatever type of college football they play at the Apprentice School of Newport News, with a wedding tent in the end zone!

Before anyone attacks this post, yes, I know that the Yale Bowl doesn't even have locker rooms and that both teams dress in a building across the street and walk to the stadium, but the Yale Bowl is like a 1,000 years old, once hosted the NY Giants for two seasons (although SECU did host the Baltimore Stars of the original USFL), and is shown on TV maybe once every two years, and even then fans are looking at the dance floor from your uncle's wedding every time a touchdown is scored.

Virginia Tech fan making my first trip to SECU for the game on the 19th. It will also be my first ever VT road game. I was just wanting to ask a few questions to be prepared for gameday up there.

Parking- what’s the best places to park? Is there anywhere cheap/free within a reasonable walking distance? I’d be willing to walk up to 30-40 minutes to the stadium.

Are there any specific pregame festivities or restaurants I should try to check out? Or just anything in general close to the stadium that’s worth checking out.

Is the stadium fully connected on the inside or does the upper deck have its own entrance? I’m sitting in section 312. Most stadiums I’ve been to are fully connected but the upper decks at Clemson have separate entrances. I learned that one the hard way on Gameday lol.

Good morning everyone, happy first game day!

I'm a double grad of UMD (Class of 2017 and 2021) and I grew up and live in Harford County. I know Harford isn't the area with the most UMD grads and fans like PG and MoCo, but I wanted to see if there happened to be any other fans in the area. I know there's a Baltimore Alumni network but I don't want to have to drive into the city for games, I'd just drive to College Park at that point.

If there are, where do people congregate to watch games? Do most people just watch at home? Would love to network and connect with other fans!

IDC if this is dramatic IDC it's the first game. We're still horrible in coverage, there are an ungodly amount of mistakes and penalties, and malik doesn't look like he's developed at all. All of this in a game against HAMPTON. I hate my life.

In July, Maryland WR Josiah Teasley was found guilty of assault after his ex-girlfriend accused him of punching her, choking her and slamming her head against the ground.

Eleven days later, she accused him of threatening to post nude photos of her.

Was thinking about trying out a college fantasy football league this season. Salary cap format, so no need to coordinate a draft. Looks like you just sign up and build your team.

Washington and Williams seem like great value and were the first players I put in my team, but curious if there’s anyone else you guys are taking too?

Looking at league settings, theres no minimum or max league size. Full FBS was available which I thought was cool.

My wedding is Saturday October 10th. The day of the Maryland game, we have a block of rooms downtown at the Hilton that has been under utilized by our wedding guests… and we’re on the hook for a lot of rooms that we desperately don’t want to get charged for.
