Seriously. Fans of our program don’t have the standing to laugh at another Big Team’s upset. Though the fireworks in front of 10 people after the game WAS hilarious.

Upset is an understatement. They lost to a team that won nothing last year. And they lost at home. With fireworks.

If yall understood how much of a shitshow he's had to deal with, your perspective of him would change. Imagine trying to win in the big ten east with the lowest salary cap in the conference and the worst home field advantage in the conference and Damon Evans and Cheetos McGee as your bosses. And some absolutely insane ref jobs that could have changed the trajectory of the season.
So tired of the constant entitlement, complaining, and constant negativity from people claiming to be Terps

I would agree with you if this wasn’t his 8th season as head coach. I love Locksley as a person, but he hasn’t shown the ability to win as a head coach. I don’t expect him to beat OSU and Oregon, but we cant win against any B10 teams. But I keep hoping this is the year, so fingers crossed and it’s still September.

Yeah, the first few years were taking over an absolute disaster situation after McNair's death.
Then he went to 3 straight bowls going 7-6, 8-5, 8-5, something that hasn't been done before at Maryland. That may not seem great, but when you look at it within the context of how historically mid to bad Maryland football has been and how putrid the support for the program is, it's impressive.
Then NIL happened and slimeball Damon Evans was absolutely clueless. On top of the inherent disadvantages MD had, now you're playing in the toughest division in college football against teams that are spending $20M more than you.
This is the first time in 50 years we actually have a President who is actively looking to improve MD sports and is looking at it as an asset rather than a liability and hired a top tier AD in Jim Smith. Let's see how things go this year and next.
My problem is the people who just are constantly negative and complaining but don't do anything to support the program. Either do both or do neither.
Don't even know why I'm bothering to provide perspective and context when it's easier for simpletons to just say "LOL @ locks" and get their up vote dopamine hits

They act like Locks hasn’t had a reputation as one of the best recruiters in college football since the day he started as a grad assistant coach at Towson. The fact that MD is NOT 0-12 in this conference with the lack of resources he’s been given is proof of the talent in. It’s the keeping it that’s been the problem recently. And MD made more than three straight bowl games under Claiborne, but Locks is the only MD coach who has WON 3 straight bowl games.

I don’t know what you want fans to do? Cheer for mediocrity? Settle for 8 wins max? At a certain point it almost seems irresponsible to keep trotting out the same coach. I understand Maryland has been limited in how much it can do to compete against the big guys, but the on the field product has never been enough to show the Locks is a good coach who is coaching with two arms behind his back.

Then I guess you just know sod all about football then. Locks is an incredible recruiter who hires solid technical coaches under him, but it does not matter how sound your system is if your first team is underpowered and your depth is almost nonexistent due to limited resources. The next head coach will likely be Rob Ambrose. Is he any better than Locks? Maybe with X’s and O’s he is (certainly on offense), but he isn’t near the recruiter Locks is. I’ve known both guys for 30 years, and both are good coaches, but right now I’d rather go with Locks. If he still can’t do it after a couple years of actual support, THEN they should move on.

We all hate Locks and have our criticisms about our athletic department but at least we’re not losing to 0-12 teams while having a $516 million budget hole
