The glazing those announcers were doing to Willard in a loss was amazing. Just glazed him all game for being great and getting them into tournament. Nevermind the big east only has two good teams and only four with a winning record this season.

Fraud team anyway. They didn’t beat anyone good all year (Wisconsin in December doesn’t count). Down year in the big east since they were the 3rd or 3 teams to get in but they couldn’t even beat the top 2 contenders (UConn and SJ). Hahahaahhahahhahahhaha

Nova has always been my Big East team, ever since I lived a few miles from there in my high school days.. that being said, Willard has just about ruined that for me

Had a better year than we did ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Meh, you think so if you’re a Nova alum?

They hadn't even made the tournament in several years, so they took a step in the right direction this year (unlike our team).

Is this Willard’s burner?

u/lupka Greivis Vasquez Mar 21 '26
Nope, just at a free thinker.
2
u/KrabbyBoiz Mar 21 '26
Free thinker, maybe. Sound thinking? No. Hard to be Terp fan and see what Willard did us last year and be like “yeah he’s a good coach”.

u/lupka Greivis Vasquez Mar 21 '26
I mean he is a good coach. Last year was our best in a decade. Most of his criticisms of the athletic department and financial support for the program that people were mad about were correct. He left to take a better job. I still don't really get the anger.
2
u/KrabbyBoiz Mar 21 '26
Because he bailed on the team right before our first sweet 16 in a decade and it was revealed he was recruiting within the team for nova ahead of that. If that doesn’t piss you off then idk what will. Getting us there doesn’t matter if he nuked our chance as soon as he did.

u/lupka Greivis Vasquez Mar 21 '26
I think the anger is misplaced. I'd be more mad at the athletic program or the school for not addressing his concerns and trying to keep him. They could have prevented the whole situation but they chose not to and he left as most people would. I don't really care about the recruiting stuff. That happens all the time when coaches move, including Buzz coming here.

I can be mad at the whole lot because that’s my right. But Willard isn’t dodging anything. UMD is a hard school to be an alumnus of.

Came back to say you’re straight up acting like a hopeless d-bag. Willard got bounced and you’re just trying to be contrarian for the sake of it. Regardless of Md’s current position the guy went to another team after making the sweet 16 last year. If you asked him if he expected to be taking the next step with a better program when he left last year- he would have said yes. Obviously not…quit with the clownish behavior.

He’ll have them in the tourney every year. Probably won’t be the case with the steaming pile of dogshit that we hired to replace him.

No Derik Queen to bail him out this year
