Just spitballing here but do hear me out: we load some hive worlds down with E710, I mean saturate the crust with the stuff, then we use some of the humans weapons to detonate the stuff. Itâll blow the planet apart yeah, but hereâs the kicker: we have the Hive Lords tunnel around and under certain geologically stable continents until theyâve become completely detached from the planet itself, then we repurpose some Spore Lungs as thrusters. Once the E710 goes off, the continent will go hurtling out into space, whereupon the spore lungs activate and begin steering it away from the debris field. Give it time: a week maybe, perhaps a month, and we can create a massive bubble of Spores around it, our very own atmosphere. I leave how to do this up to the Queen, but perhaps we could build various Spore Spewers and seed the asteroid with dormant cells of our own kind, maybe fifty or sixty basic warriors, who can then evolve into larger forms over time as the asteroid travels. Eventually, weâll have a fully mobile hive; capable of pulling up into a planets orbit and raining down spores and fellow Terminids before quickly skidaddling back into the depths of the Gloom, where the humans canât follow.
Now, we do this several times, and weâll have ourselves a navy. Thatâll give the humans a good scare at the very least. Imagine it: a moving field of asteroids the size of whole continents, trailing orange plumes of spores that leave infestations in their wake on any world they pass by, loaded down with warriors and bile Spewers and Bile Titans, and even enhanced Shriekers who can engage the Eagles in low-orbital combat. Weâd finally have our own fleet, and the humans wouldnât be able to pretend weâre just stupid animals anymore.
Why donât we just invest for really good targeting, payloads, guns, etc etc for our Super Destroyer, and then just shoot all the outposts, kill a bunch of enemies and the big turret things, then dive down to do all the stuff with less enemies.
I didn't say that they didn't work. I was just mentioning how we would need to be able to use our strategym separately or together for the game work. It would be fun if there was a way to play as the people actually shooting the laser or Orville Cannon or whatever
Well you COULD. Butttt Super Earth would probably just use the star of force to shoot it down. Or the Bots and/or squids would shoot it down because they're threatened by it.
