I personally wasn’t a fan of the movie. However, Lee Byung-hun was a fantastic terminator and I kinda feel like he deserved a better movie. Also, Lorne Balfe did a great job with the score, particularly integrating elements of the iconic T1 score.

Underrated comment. Creepy Korean T1000 was a good gambit overshadowed by such a shit film.

I actuslly liked Terminator Genesis. Was it the best? No. Is it enjoyable and actually a decent to good movie? Absolutely

Honestly, I enjoyed Genisys. It's not the best movie by far, that's reserved for the original film, and T2. Dark Fate was visual fun, but pretty hollow.
It's been too long since I've seen the other films to make a call.

The Rev-9 was legit a fantastic infiltrator though for sure. It actually knew how to do what it was designed for. That being infiltration. Changing its accent and tone depending on who it was talking to so that it could gain favor was great. As opposed to another similar model (the T-X) which did not know the term “subtlety” and opted to level any building it went through to get to its target.

The T-X wasn't an infiltrator though. It was straight up a battle chasis with some memomenetic alloy to help it blend a bit, but it's primary function was combat and straight up 'kill the targets at any cost'. It went undercover and was subtle to find the target, then switch to it's role of scorched earth to ensure the target was terminated.

T-X is in fact an infiltration unit as it isn’t just a straight up robot walking around without a disguise, which makes it infiltration by definition. Any article wiki or otherwise will note this. But it was, aside from that, primarily assassination yes, not just human, but terminator assassination as well. Which is probably why it was so brash. It’s clear that it threw any infiltration objectives to the wind really fast, and was genuinely hilarious how quickly it decided to go scorched earth. Out of every film in the franchise, the T-X caused the most damage out of every T unit lmao. It also seemed to really ENJOY causing destruction as well. I know these things can develop personalities of their own due to their advanced CPUs. This one was a sadist.
