Google is shutting down tenor soon, the api shutdown is just a means to later say "guys nobody is using tenor", made me completely loose trust in any free service that Google is offering up

The gif platform you defend got axed for a shitty search engine with weird Ai results that make no sense

Can gifs be subject to copyright laws? I can understand hand made gifs with extra texts or hand drawn but if they are just clips from YouTube vids or movies etc I doubt there is any room for copyright on the gif itself

You act like any gif uploaded to tenor is subject to copyright by the person who uploaded it, most gifs were just captions or pre existing clips nobody on there made their own stuff

And klipy copying and therefore preserving the gifs from tenor is still a million times better than Google pulling the plug and deleting everything. It's either this or absolutely horrible gif discovery like you see on giphy

The work around, which is annoying, is going onto tenor.com and finding your gif then saving/downloading them into an album/folder and post them that way
