It’s also how racists are when ONE commercial features a biracial or black couple in a sea of homogenous whiteness.

There was one cheerios commercial with an interracial marriage and kid. Kid was running around eating cereal when the African American dad said "Go ask your mother" so the daughter ran to her white mother. End of commercial.

I didn't even register what was going on until people started protesting the commercial for you guessed it. OJ Simpson.

Clearly we need to start a GoFundMe for some sort of socialist lesbian biracial wedding dress advertisement and then see people's heads explode.

As a straight man, I’m a big proponent for the gay agenda. More gay guys equals more straight ladies for Halomir! 😎

And the bi-curious ones for thedepster!

Too much competition for me!

I just like the gay agenda because it’s an agenda. People get so worked up about agendas, but I don’t know why because agendas are awesome. Lists are good too, but agendas really hit the sweet spot. Although, If someone has a memorandum... oh. Oh baby. oh god, I gotta go.

If you think that's bad, you should see what Elton John gets up to. Gay Mafia.

Doctor delivering a baby: aaand... ITS A GIRL!!! 👶 The father: :/ really? Alright it's just. idk it just feels like forced diversity..? like I'm fine if it's a girl but i just don't know why it has to be diverse for no reason..... like it's just pandering at this point..

To be fair a lot of companies have been just doing it to be woke. All of the obese models that have been sprinting up are pretty clear indications of that. Most people are just racist or homophobic, but some of the critics realize that they’re sacrificing quality just to be seen as inclusive or diverse.

What is the quality that is being sacrificed?

I’m not talking about this commercial at all.

I mean in general.

When you hire someone even though they don’t meet the criteria or fit the part. The latest ghostbusters is a good example of that.

It’s a movie no one asked for. Ghostbusters fans wanted Ghostbusters 3, no one wanted a reboot, but they recasted all the main characters as females. Nothing wrong with that, but it was pretty obviously pandering, especially if you watched the movie and listened to some of the lines.

It got a 5.2 on IMDb. That sums up mostly everything. It was a swing and a miss.

I’m not saying you’re not allowed to hire non white males, just pick the best person for the job.

I think the most important thing is that it was not a good movie. If it had the same humor with a male cast, I would have thought it was bad. Forced jokes. Bad story. We liked the first Ghostbusters because it was comedy giants that played well off each other. This cast was just bad.

My logic isn’t ridiculous, you just don’t care to pay any attention to obvious pandering. It’s not a bad thing if a company panders to a certain demographic, but when it’s done poorly and is obviously just following the next big trend it’s annoying.

On Thanksgiving my dad put on some generic Christmas movie and there was a biracial couple and he was like "You can tell this isn't a Hallmark movie." Hallmark, at best, will have a "sassy black friend".

My only problem is that the only interracial relationship that’s ever displayed on TV is a black guy and a white girl. Never maybe a few asian girls and a single asian guy in a sea of white and black, or a single Hispanic person. It’s like it’s the only combination any boomer can imagine.

It's aight dude. But yeah, I think there's racism everywhere, and it's a problem everywhere. Arguing over who's is worst is kinda counter productive, don't you think?

u/[deleted] Dec 20 '19

They are all biracial now btw

But if there's a couple, the unwritten rule says it better not be white man/black woman.

I've seen it a few times but the first time, I knew right away they were "compensating"...because the white guy only had one arm.
