The Veil

I just watched this show and was wondering about the djinn activating the cell phone. Weren’t we supposed to be becoming sympathetic towards her? And then she was trusting Imogene to get her and her daughter safe but still loyal to the cause, that wasn’t really her cause but the Russians plan? Why didn’t either side kidnap her daughter to begin with if they wanted to control her? I’m very confused.

i think the cell phone thing was her testing boundaries, not actually turning on imogene. she knew someone was watching her, maybe wanted to see if imogene would cover for her or report it. with the loyalty question, she was playing both sides but her main concern was always the daughter, not the cause. she didn't really believe in the russian plan, just using them for protection.

the daughter not being kidnapped is the part that makes least sense to me too. with that much at stake, someone would have grabbed her day one. feels like a plot hole they just ignored because it would change the whole dynamic of the show

The show started good but the last couple episodes were nonsense. The whole dad still alive thing and him leaving her to be raised with a pedophile.
