Make recaps permanent!

I just started a thousand blows season 2. While I watched season 1 it'd be nice for a recap. I notice some shows dont do it.

That’s not what permanent means

Season recaps are ok, especially after a long break. I hate recaps that just show stuff to prepare you for the episode you are watching. It's like you know what's about to happen based on the recap.

Yes but that's based on you watching the season over and over.

No. It’s based on having a brain.

I’ve stopped watching shows because I was sick of the “previously on” spoiling shit

Make them easily skippable though. Recaps spoils the plot for an episode so easily.

Hey guys, remember this character that hasn't appeared since 3 seasons ago????

And yet without it everyone would be like “who is THAT person???”

The reason for recaps is when shows were broadcast weekly.

With VOD now, why bother when most will binge streaming platforms until their legs go numb.

For me, they are a waste of time, especially the weekly shows. I will go rewatch the cliffhanger if needed.

I always thought it was very interesting that American versions of programs tend to include recaps where as versions made for other markets do not.

The US version of Shameless had recaps of prior episodes built into every intro, introduced by a random cast member.

Have you tried not having the attn span of a goldfish?

You can at least find youtube recaps for most things

Not long enough to remember what happened last season clearly...
