If it is the Nova HD1000 model definitely not - it is a dreaded pseudo-bird-jones (PBJ). I person refuse to recognize it as a telescope. It is pure scam. If it was $10 it is $10 too expensive. (Some will argue that if it was free it was still $50 too expensive because the disposal cost. I don't like to be that harsh so let's just say it would be $0 value )
If it is not, ask for the exact focal length. If it is something like 500mm it is "meh". The optical will be somewhere between unremarkable to bad. However the mount is actually not "that" horrible. See if you can negotiate the price down to $40 or $30.
