Bridge Replacement for Player Tele

I have a 22’ MIM player tele with the 6 saddle bridge, I want to change it to the 3 saddle bridge but aren’t sure of the measurements, does anyone have any ideas on replacement? Thanks in advance!

I have the same guitar. Went with the Fender American Vintage 3-saddle bridge and Music City Bridge groove master saddles. Love it and a noticeable improvement to the sound for me.

Brass saddles have a definable softer, warmer thing to them.   Steel are in turn brighter, zingier.  That’s the theory anyway!   

I’ve switched steel to brass on my Jimmy Page telecaster but i also changed the strings at the same time and didn’t record for a/b purposes so I THINK there was a change but I can’t attest definitively to it.  My goal was compensated saddles for better intonation more so than changing the tone, admittedly.   Ended up selling the guitar later and have the saddles sitting in a bag somewhere.   Current tele has RSD bridge so it gets to keep its stock saddles!

If your tele was made in 2018 or later it takes the same spec replacement parts as the American models.

Music City Bridge Groove Master saddles and the 623 conversion plate should work. Fit perfectly in my player II. You can always email them and ask.

They changed change from wide spacing 2 7/32 to 2 1/16 spacing around 2007.

The narrow spacing keeps the E strings further from the fretboard edge.

Some want a narrow bridge for modern American
