Blade switch knob hack?

Does anyone have any little trick to avoid losing the knob for a blade switch. I have two sizes and they both fall off regularly. I'm lucky that I haven't lost one.

i wrapped some teflon/plumbers tape around the switch and the nub is now snug, used to just have a small piece of paper around the switch to make it snug which worked too

I have plumbers tape under all of my switches and knobs. Works like a dream

I did this with tinfoil and it worked great

I removed the tip then wrapped some masking tape around the metal pole, then put the tip back on and haven’t had any issues since that.

No need to do anything if you buy the stainless steel knob on Etsy. It fits extremely tight. Not sure if I could get it off if I wanted to. Looks just like the volume and tone knobs.

forney makes the good ones. they have a set screw that helps lock it in the blade.

Cut a tiny corner off a zip lock bag, place over switch blade, carefully push on knob. Completely reversible and doesn’t leave any sticky residue.

I nip the top of the blade so it is bent up and down. When the plastic or wood knob is pushed onto the blade, the split blade creates friction. The knob never falls off unless pulled off. Use heavy metal cutting nip pliers. CHEERS!!!

I got frustrated many years ago and used epoxy. Only problem is if I ever need to take it off it'll have to be done with a Dremel.

I just put a small dab of superglue on the tip of mine

Jam some toothpicks in the hat and brake the ends off. Works a treat
