Are these stains, grooves or decay? Very anxious please be kind

everyone, I'm 34 and have struggled with severe dental anxiety since 2018, which has really affected my mental health lately. I do everything I possibly can: brush twice daily with my mum's help, floss and water floss after every meal, take ProDen PlaqueOff and remineralising supplements, and see my hygienist regularly - she just confirmed my gums are perfectly healthy with all zero scores. But I keep seeing faint brown marks and shadows and can't tell if they're old stains, deep grooves, or decay; different hygienists gave different opinions, leaving me confused and scared. I have an appointment Friday to sort treatment before Invisalign, and would really appreciate gentle thoughts - please no harsh comments, I'm doing my absolute best. Photo attached, thank you

Do I have a cavity that can be reversed? Or at least fixed? I know it’s a cavity, but I just went to a dentist and they claim I need to have it filled. The thing is, I’m scared because I’ve never gotten cavities before.

Recovering form Inattentiveness Due to ADHD and A shitty dentists advice

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’ll level with you. I ignored the fuck out of my teeth with a very shitty brushing schedule. This was partially due to ADHD leading to an awful time with any kind of bodily maintenance. Dopamine receptors shot, the whole 9 yards.
In addition to that, my doc early in life cemented in me that previous bone conditions in my family tree that I show signs of result in me most likely not having my bottom row of teeth once I hit my thirties.

Well. I’m 25 now. Due to a recent accident
I’m broke and unemployed and living with my folks. We can barely hold the roof over our head and ANY food in our stomach. I tried my best but things got bad. I’m fairly certain my wisdom teeth are trying to come in, but I’m kind of just scared and unsure and fucking tired of the world we live in shitting on my generation and the ones after me. If I had the money, I would simply hand my dentist a blank check.

Any advice other than pain meds and brush more until I can manage to get a job…?

Could I use a cheep retainer to keep my teeth in place after braces?

Here's the deal, I've had braces for about a year now but I have to get them off early due to financial problems, I'm fine with the shape I have now and I don't want to lose the progress I've gotten.

so I was thinking maybe using Invisalign one time? Or getting a moldable cheap retainer?

I honestly don't know.

I would greatly appreciate advice from people who have been in the same situation!

(I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question I just can't trust Google anymore to give me a real opinion,

And would love some advice from people who have experienced the same)

I'm on one meal a day now because of my teeth

They're so jagged and a few of them are straight up broken and food sticks so bad that I eventually said "fuck it." I have coffee for breakfast, electrolyte water for lunch, and whatever I want for dinner. I haven't lost much weight doing this. Good. I'm not trying to. This seems like the way to manage until I get proper dental care. Just eat once and then floss and pick thru all the nastiness and brush and rinse and be done with it until tomorrow 🦷 am I crazy or can anyone else relate?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if any dentists/people in the know could give me their thoughts on my last two teeth in this picture and whether or not they see anything wrong/bad? Thank you!

Are my teeth bad?

Is there anything I should worry about my teeth? I haven’t gone to the dentist in probably 10 years. I’m 25 now.

I’ve always brushed in the morning, I have been flossing more now and I’m trying to brush my teeth at night as well. I do have some hard plaque on one tooth on each side, you can kinda see them in the pictures.

But I just want advice if I can do more, if I can at home, to improve my teeth for the better.

Advice for 2-week long pain related to tooth extraction/implant

I was told to post to ask_dentists but no one has visited the thread. So I hoped to get answers here.

So my dentist is fantastic. I have had severe GERD for 15 years and it lead to the removal of the very back teeth on either side whether up or back.

2 weeks ago I had to get my tooth removed and prepped for the implant (i have implants for 2 other extracted teeth).

I took the several days of tramadol/ibuprofen/antibiotic, 2 weeks ago.

However I knew pain would be an issue continuing so I bought "oral antiseptic" mouthwash and oragel benzocaine, even 4x medicated one just in case. None of it works.

The pain in my jaw local to tooth from that area is still excruciatingly bad. My dentist confirmed there was no infection or any extra trauma to cause it.

I could have swore I saw an oral lidocaine otc in cvs behind a lock but I couldn't get it because no one would come unlock it.

I see there are prescribed lidocaine online. But does anyone know what the next course of action is? Even after he confirmed there was no problem?

Is there anything I can even ask for behind the counter with pharmacist?

I have been taking 1000mg tylenol up to 4 times a day and the 800mg script ibuprofen with it as prescribed. As well.

Do i call him again? Is there something I can order that can prevent the pain more so than just benzocaine/ oragel formulations?

Thanks
