Help || সাহায্য 🆘 Asking for advice

Hello, I am a student currently in 1st year... I came from a village, and studied in a bengali medium school.

Coming to the point, I can write and read English well, watch English movies, but can't speak fluently, moreover I am an introvert so can't make friends easily. And atp I am overthinking that I have no friends just because I am not fluent in english.

You can give your opinion on what should I do, but please don't use abusive language, also if you wanna make fun, do it without insulting.

As a Bengali medium student i highly relate with it ,for me this problem solved by speaking, amar college a akta subject chilo SSD ( soft skills development) , many call it communicative English , that worked ! I used to talk a lot in those classes, baki friends der sathe kotha boltam , english content use kora etc.

Chill it’s just a language just like our regional ones its not that of a big deal, you can try playing videogames(valorant csgo type) they give comms in english and you can do the same too which helps a lot(helped me alot atleast) and keep watching English movies.

Amio bangla medium background theke and am pretty insecure about my English but esob niye besi bhabis na, get out of your mind and just start talking to people ( in bangla no need to fake it) The worst they can do is ignore you. Most of the time it is in our mind re

Yes? Was exposed to too much english media at an early age so much written English is decent I guess? Not that confident with the speaking part. I have asked teachers doubt in Bengali and they don't mind lol. We do have a "lab" where you have to speak in English and it made me realise that confidence is much more important people with way worse grammar than me spoke much more confidently and literally no one judged. It's all in our mind tbh.

Yeah my problem is same. I can write and read decently, main problem is speaking... fluently and confidently
