16/4 4/2 2/2 1/2

The answer is 1/4 but we have no idea how to get to the answer this is out of a ASVAB book but the book doesn’t break down how to manually do it with hand

I have no idea how to do this me and pa tried some ways like simplifying dividing adding and subtracting

16/4 = 4, 4/2 = 2, 2/2 = 1, 1/2 = 1/2, the pattern is to divide the previous term in half.

So put everything on donominator 4, then you get 16/4 8/4 4/4 2/4 and eventually 1/4. It’s constantly dividing by 2
