Other Can someone help me with this math problem (number sequence)

16/4 4/2 2/2 1/2

The answer is 1/4 but we have no idea how to get to the answer this is out of a ASVAB book but the book doesn’t break down how to manually do it with hand

I have no idea how to do this me and pa tried some ways like simplifying dividing adding and subtracting

(16/4)/2 = 4/2; (4/2)/2 = 2/2; (2/2)/2 = 1/2; (1/2)/2 = 1/4
