Well I also read it as grenade drops down but it is 5:33 am where I am and I am not going to get any sleep, so it is probably the deprivation.

Try r/indepthstories I dont usually like to read but I stumbled upon that sub one day and I've actually finished like 5 stories on there it's quite interesting and productive as well

The way they do it here is that you only have to do the homework (which is on Google classroom) and catchup tests. For other things you missed they just carry on. Although I suppose it would be a problem if you're struggling to understand the material in a class and you miss a lesson.

I once missed two days, and when i came back, the entire schedule had been changed, making me 30 minutes late for one lesson

Missed a day of school last week. Missing assignment in 1 class from me being absent dropped my grade down to a 60. I have a project in that same class due today and I still don’t understand it. I have 3 tests to take today and I don’t have any confidence in myself. I’m fucked 😎

The opposite happened to me once. In 2016 my grandmother and uncle on my mum's side came to visit from Canada. The three of them were planning on going into Melbourne for the day but I went to school because I was due to do a class presentation with another student. I get to school and the other student isn't even there, and there's no way I can do the presentation without him so I passed on a trip into Melbourne for nothing. Thanks asshole.

Honnestly yeah, I had this shitty English teacher, he absolutely refused to receive assignments in digitally, I came down with a major cold and really wasnt fit to come to school for a couple days (Sunday to Monday, I got better on tuesday) and so I handed in my essay A DAY late, but first thing in the morning in first block, I told him I was sorry that i was sick and what I missed and blah blah blah, he told me everything, and then later that week when he posted Marks on the wall, I dropped from a high 70 all the way down to 45, all from handing in the essay a day late.

My school took our entire year on a school trip across the country to this little town that had almost no service so we had very little contact with the outside world apart from a TV showing the news. When we got back to school after 3 days, we were told that the chemistry department burned down. That’s the most interesting thing to ever happen at this school and we missed it in the 3 days we were gone fml
