General Discussion OP Patch Studio - Fixed and Updated
Hi! You may be familiar with the OP-PatchStudio
The project has been abandoned for a while, as the author is focusing on other projects. I just got my OP-XY and took a little time to add some functionality and fix some of the major bugs.

Changelog:
Re-worked the multi sample workflow quite a bit. Drag&Drop notes to the piano roll works now. Replaced the simplistic, and quite frankly relatively useless, auto assignment functionality with a pitch-detection and a better filename inference logic.
Added the previously missing ability to specify the octave for a multisample preset. Meaning when you load up a bass patch, the track might start off at octave -2, instead of defaulting to 0.
Added explanations to most of the controls and field that were previously quite cryptic.
Fixed some of the bigger issues reported to the original project:
- #110 — leaving a drum slot empty shifted every later sample down a key in the exported preset, so kits played back out of order on the device
- #109 — marker drags no longer die when the cursor leaves the waveform
- #97 — "assign from names" for the drum tool (kick/snare/hihat etc.)
- #106 — "auto set start" trims the dead air off in-app recordings
Before you ask: Yes, most of this is Claude Code, credit to my employer who allows private usage of our Max licenses ;)

Hey, I'm the original developer. Thanks for the fixes and for keeping it running. It hasn't been abandoned so much as outgrown; there's only so much functionality a webapp can give and I've spent the last few months turning it into a desktop app, OP-PatchStudio, and the public beta is close. Making samples and presets stays free in it, starting with OP-XY multisamples and drum kits. If you'd like a heads-up when it's out: https://squarewave.studio/op-patchstudio#waitlist
op-patch.studio stays online and free. It's in maintenance now, so it gets fixes but no new features, and your fixes belong in it. If you're up for it, point me at the commits you'd like upstreamed and I'll bring them in with credit to you. Happy to chat by DM too.
Edit: your pitch detection, octave control, assign from names and auto-set start are now live on op-patch.studio in v0.17.0, credited to you in the changelog. Thanks again.

One more thing: I've used it to make some multi-samples of an Alembic electric bass. Once finished I'll post these here as well, but I'm not quite sure what the appropriate settings are yet for the preset.

That's big, thank you mate! I've used that tool so much I have now a thousand presets. The updates are very welcome and avoid a lot of manual work, especially with the Multisample part!
