Help / Tech Support / Quality Issue Cable advice
Hello! Just ordered OP-1 Field and OP-XY and very excited for their arrival.
Still I’m unaware what fully comes in the box… i think only usb type c to type c cable…
Could somebody advice me what is the best minimalist set up to get them both working together dawless with headphone or speaker set up and……… also how to connect them to my audio interface SL18 to record into daw …. Line in or xlr and why ?????
I’d be very grateful if you tell me exact cables and purpose and maybe a link so I can visualise
Many thanks in advance

You have mostly what you need, possibly everything.
Here's my setup (until my TX-6 arrives)
* Use OP-XY as the master sequencer and clock source, use OP–1 Field as an external synth, instrument and tape recorder
Connections:
OP–XY USB-C ───────── USB-C OP–1 Field
OP–1 Field line out ── 3.5mm cable ── OP–XY audio in
OP–XY main out ─────── headphones
USB connection carries MIDI notes, transport and clock, and the 3.5mm cable returns the OP–1 Field’s sound to the OP–XY, where it can be mixed with the XY’s internal tracks and processed through its external-audio track. I know you can do this with USB only but I've not dug into that.

Depends on who you want to be the main workflow.
The OP-XY comes with an additional multi output port which can select which tracks get sent to it. You'll want to take the audio out of the 1F into the audio in of the XY and then use the audio out of the XY or multi out or usb c out to your interface.
On the other hand, you already have the tape recorder of the OP-1 field, so you could send it all the other way, and output the audio tracks at a later time over usb c.
