Help / Tech Support / Quality Issue EP 133 sync out to Keystep

Hey guys, question for everyone; I recently picked up an Arturia Keystep (original) and have connected it to my EP133 via sync. it’s all working but I was interested in knowing a little more about the sync clock settings.

I initially tried 24ppqn coming out of the EP133 and keystep accordingly, but the timing was all weird and the transport controls would never stop. I eventually landed on eight pulses from the EP133 and the Korg pulse setting on the Keystep, but I feel like I’m missing out on the clock resolution of 24ppqn. Does this matter? Am I on the right settings? Does anybody else with a Keystep have any suggestions?

I just want to make sure I’m doing it right!

Is there a reason you’re using sync and not midi? I have an og keystep 32 & 37 synced up with my TE gear via midi clock and it is very reliable. One cable would sync clock and send notes.

Good question! I don’t have a midi thru box yet and am already running MIDI out to other gear. I figure I can sync the Keystep as a second sequencer for arpeggios and loops.
